Senate confirms Kempthorne to head Interior


WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate confirmed
President George W. Bush's nominee, Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne, as interior secretary on Friday, after several lawmakers lifted procedural holds that allowed the vote to proceed.
